The short version
The Ghost Signal is free. Use the data, build on the API, call the hotline. Don't abuse it. We make no warranties. If the ghosts break something, that's between you and them.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing ghost.megabyte.space, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. We may update these terms at any time — continued use constitutes acceptance.
The service
ghost.megabyte.space provides public access to real-time electromagnetic field sensor data, entropy analysis, AI chat, a voice AI hotline, and derived random numbers. The service is operated by Brian Zalewski under the Megabyte Labs organization as a public-interest research project.
Cost
This service is provided free of charge. There are no paid tiers, no premium features, and no hidden fees. The API, sensor data, chat, and hotline are all freely available to the public.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Exceed 60 API requests per minute per IP address
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the service infrastructure
- Use the service to harass, threaten, or harm any person
- Misrepresent sensor data or API outputs as coming from a different source
- Use automated systems to flood the chat or hotline
- Attempt to access non-public systems, databases, or administrative endpoints
Violation of these terms may result in rate limiting, IP blocking, or permanent access revocation at our sole discretion.
API usage
The Ghost Signal API is public and read-only. Rate limits are enforced at 60 requests per minute per IP. We reserve the right to adjust rate limits, modify endpoints, or deprecate features at any time. API responses are cached at the edge — real-time precision is best-effort, not guaranteed.
You may use API data for personal, educational, scientific, or commercial purposes. Attribution to ghost.megabyte.space is appreciated but not required.
Hotline and chat
All calls to (601) 666-6602 are transcribed and published as public record. By calling, you consent to recording, transcription, AI processing, and public publication of the conversation.
Chat messages sent through the website are processed by AI and stored. Do not submit sensitive personal information, credentials, or confidential material through either channel.
Intellectual property
Sensor data, entropy values, and random numbers generated by this service are in the public domain. The website design, branding, code, and written content are © 2026 Brian Zalewski / Megabyte Labs. The source code is available under open-source licensing where indicated.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that sensor readings are accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific application. EMF, EF, and RF data reflect raw sensor output and should not be used as the sole basis for safety, health, or engineering decisions.
Random numbers derived from the signal are for experimental and educational purposes. They have not been certified by any standards body and should not be used for cryptographic key generation in production systems without independent validation.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRIAN ZALEWSKI, MEGABYTE LABS, AND ANY CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
Total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service, which is zero dollars ($0.00).
Availability
We make no guarantee of uptime, availability, or data continuity. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, sensor recalibration, infrastructure changes, or acts of the paranormal. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain service continuity but accept no obligation to do so.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Mississippi.
